Provides clerical support by assisting patients, families, and staff with scheduling, check-ins, phone calls, and medical record preparation, ensuring smooth operations and using strong guest relations and organizational skills.
Handles patient registration in the Emergency Department, verifies insurance, processes high volumes of acutely ill patients, assists with Medicaid screening, and supports patient families, while ensuring accuracy and safety through best practice protocols and effective communication.
Provide clerical and administrative support within a healthcare unit, including answering phones, managing admissions and discharge paperwork, restocking supplies, monitoring call lights, and assisting with non-clinical patient safety tasks, while using positive communication skills and adhering to Patient Family Centered Care principles.
Supports unit operations by answering call lights, assisting with emergencies, maintaining medical records, organizing supplies, and providing clerical support, while ensuring a courteous and orderly environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Allied Health
Provides customer service, assists with hearing tests, performs equipment maintenance, manages hearing aid orders and repairs, and instructs patients on proper hearing aid use, while maintaining patient records and clinic supplies.
Handles specimen processing, performs venipuncture, ensures lab standards are followed, helps with test orders, and communicates with different teams and departments.
Assists with neurodiagnostic tests by explaining procedures, ensuring patient comfort, adapting methods for optimal results, maintaining equipment, and communicating important information to physicians, while also performing documentation, billing, and limited office tasks.
Assists with perioperative tasks by preparing equipment and supplies, cleaning operating rooms, supporting anesthesia, transporting patients and materials, maintaining logs, and helping nurses with patient care.
Assists therapists during treatment sessions, prepares patients and treatment areas, cleans equipment, maintains inventory, and helps with the use of therapy equipment according to department guidelines.
Cleans, assembles, and tests medical equipment, decontaminates instruments, operates washers and sterilizers, prepares case carts, handles chemicals safely, and logs equipment using computers, all while learning proper sterilization procedures and equipment handling. Facilities Operations
Perform a range of culinary tasks, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness, while ensuring food safety, following infection control guidelines, and meeting patient and customer nutrition requirements.
Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks within healthcare environments, ensuring infection control and safety standards are met while following hospital protocols, handling waste and soiled materials, and maintaining equipment and areas for inspection readiness.
Perform various food service activities in a healthcare setting, including patient tray delivery, food preparation, catering, cashiering, and maintaining food safety standards while following infection control protocols and ensuring proper nutrition care and confidentiality.
Assist patients by transferring them between beds, stretchers, or wheelchairs and transporting them to tests, transfers, and discharges, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process. Nursing and Nursing Support
Assist patients with transfers between beds, stretchers, or wheelchairs, support their feeding needs, perform hygiene care, position changes, and non-sterile dressing changes, respond promptly to call lights, and ensure their needs are met using positive guest relations skills, while obtaining and documenting vital signs, intake, output, and other essential information. Pharmacy
In a hospital setting, assist patients by preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications, compounding sterile and non-sterile dosage forms, conducting quality assurance inspections, and maintaining drug inventory under the supervision of a pharmacist.
In an outpatient/clinic setting, assist patients by preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications, handling prescription data entry, adjudicating insurance claims, offering patient counseling, and performing point-of-sale transactions under the supervision of a pharmacist. The roles listed vary in experience and qualifications, with some positions requiring a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Many roles offer opportunities for further training and certification during employment, ensuring employees can grow and develop within the organization. These roles may offer part-time, full-time, or PRN (as needed) positions based on department's staffing needs.
