Dietitian Clinical Specialist 2

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Dietitian Clinical Specialist 2 to join the team. Dietitian Clinical Specialist 2 Responsibilities:

• The Dietitian Clinical Specialist 2 provides safe and therapeutic nutritional care in a comprehensive and systematic manner.
• Incorporates differences into the provision of care by integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Acts as a resource to physicians, nurses and other allied professional healthcare team members to provide patients with optimum nutritional care.
• Serves as a clinical mentor for team members while participating in interdisciplinary committee assignments to further clinical nutrition practice.
• Provides nutrition education to patients, families and hospital staff
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Dietitian Clinical Specialist 2 Requirements:

• Work Schedule: Full-time Day Shift (32 hrs/week) Monday- Friday with rotating weekends and holidays
• Education: Bachelor's degree minimum if licensed before 1/1/2024; Dietitians registered after 1/1/2024 must hold a Master's Degree
• Experience: Minimum four years of experience as an RDN with one year of experience in a specialty area such as ICU or Oncology.
• Certification:
  
  
  
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) plus one of the following: CSG; CSOWM, CSO, CSP, CSPCC, CSR, CSSD CNSC, or CDECE required upon start.
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required within 3 Months of hire
