The Operations Associate is a self-motivated, detail oriented, back-office role responsible for the management of the data operations and systems for Private Capital Management. This position enhances the client experience by providing excellent operational expertise to the team, collaborating on projects and client focused requests on performance reporting, and will be managing important data projects on deadline and collaborating across teams. The position is responsible for adhering to firm policies and procedures, striving to utilize the firm's digital capabilities whenever possible, and maintain the highest standards of professional ethics and a commitment to client service excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide daily management of our portfolio management database and subject matter expertise to the Private Capital Management team, as well as manage additional systems, vendors and custodians for client data.

  • Manage daily data imports and maintenance for all client investments including alternative and private equity investments with responsibility for outputs.
  • Act as subject matter expert on day to day operations systems processes and capabilities.
  • Manage client reporting requirements and the client portal system and assist advisors with client questions and reporting needs.
  • Assist with the relationship with vendors and fund companies providing data to operations systems.
  • Troubleshoot data inconsistencies and address performance issues within reporting.
  • Manage new initiatives and technology changes within the systems and their impact on reporting and trading.
  • Support Director of Operations or Chief Compliance Officer with projects, as needed.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Fund accounting, performance or CRM systems experience necessary. Proficiency a plus in systems such as Tamarac or other performance management systems.

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years
  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: No certifications needed

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

Required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is located in a small cubicle environment that is shared with other team members.

TRAVEL

Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed

In accordance with Colorado law: Colorado pay for this position is anticipated to be between $55,710.95 - $88,993.89 , actual offers to be determined based on applicant's skills, experience and education.
