We are seeking a Combat Systems Engineer Duties & Responsibilities: The candidate will serve as the Aegis Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP)/ Developmental Test (DT) Lead for Aegis Modernization Cruisers (CGs) and Destroyers (DDGs). The position requires a thorough knowledge of systems engineering and the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. The candidate must possess a strong general knowledge of Aegis Combat System (ACS) and Aegis Weapons Systems (AWS). Aegis Advanced Capability Build (ACB) 16/20 consists of multiple baselines and provides increased warfighting capability. The candidate will be tasked to lead and provide Development Test (DT) engineering services in ADW, SUW, USW, C4ISR and other warfare areas as designated in TEMP 1669/1984, to support identification and development of measurable DT objectives and/or associated test methodology that meet TEMP requirements, and provide adequate traceability (i.e., MOE/MOP, A/B Level Specifications, COI) to design/operational requirements. Services shall consider all possible test opportunities, including M&S, LBTS, Shipyard Availabilities, Sea Trials, CSSQTs and Fleet Exercises, for validation of test requirement. The candidate will also provide status to IWS1TE, AEGIS IPT and DTRR on status of planning efforts, to include objective development, resource requirements and risk items. As required, he/she will coordinate efforts with Requirements IPT to ensure inclusion in the CSSQT and DT planning process. The candidate will support development of scenarios and coordinate as required with other system/element Team Leads to support mission/multi-mission level testing. He/she will plan, prepare and conduct review of all test documentation, validate deficiencies with test procedures and provide technical solutions/operational impacts. Qualifications: Candidate will have extensive experience (10+ years) serving in this or similar role supporting AEGIS classes. Education Requirement:
- BS degree in engineering, computer science or other relevant field
- MS degree in engineering, computer science or other relevant field preferred
