Essential Job Duties |
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented undergraduate student to join our Turfgrass Pathology Research Lab, which specializes in studying fungal diseases affecting turfgrasses. As a laboratory assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting ongoing research activities and contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
Sample Collection and Preparation:Assist in the collection and preparation of turfgrass samples for fungal disease analysis. Laboratory Maintenance:Maintain cleanliness and organization in the lab, ensuring a conducive environment for research activities. Data Entry and Record-Keeping:Accurately record experimental data, maintain detailed laboratory notebooks, and assist in organizing research findings. Equipment Operation:Operate and maintain laboratory equipment used in the analysis of fungal diseases, following established protocols. Collaboration:Collaborate with other team members, including researchers and graduate students, to contribute effectively to ongoing projects. Literature Review:Conduct literature reviews to stay informed about the latest developments in fungal pathology related to turf grasses
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Plant Pathology, Microbiology, Agronomy, etc.). |
