Clinical Standardization and Quality Improvement Senior

We're looking for a Clinical Standardization & Quality Improvement Specialist with a clinical background who thrives in fast-paced environments and isn't afraid to jump into complex, multi-region projects with little to no prior experience-learning, leading, and making an impact along the way!

  • Collaborate across departments to drive clinical and operational improvements and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Analyze operational challenges and implement strategic solutions

Job Summary

Working alongside the Manager of Clinical Standardization, this role is deeply involved in the execution, coordination, and operational implementation of clinical standardization efforts. This is a high-volume, fast-paced role that requires relentless execution to drive meaningful change.

Key responsibilities include:

Turning Strategy into Action - Not just planning but actively implementing standardization initiatives across clinical operations, in areas with little previous experience.

Managing Heavy Workloads - Handling multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met, and navigating complex workflows.

Crafting Clear & Engaging Communications - Developing visually compelling slide decks and narratives that effectively communicate project updates, outcomes, and recommendations.

Tracking & Reporting Progress - Monitoring key metrics, ensuring accountability, and continuously optimizing processes.

This role is for someone who thrives under pressure, embraces challenges, and delivers tangible results to advance clinical standardization and operational efficiency.

Essential Functions

  • Independently provides project management for new and existing programs and projects. Ensures required documentation, reporting, data collection and database utilization are performed in an accurate and timely manner. Prepares progress reports, study results and other reports as required.
  • Collects and analyzes process, value and quality related data to initiate, develop, and recommend practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, improved quality, and reduced cost.
  • Directs, organizes, and engages in process and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Serves as the lead to provide structure, project management and direction for new and existing workflow transformation and other quality improvement and clinical standardization initiatives. Develops action and projects plans focused on quality improvement and clinical standardization.
  • Collaborate with leaders and clinical teams to assure that processes and services are continuously monitored for quality, cost effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Leads compliance activities to ensure services are provided in accordance with State and Federal regulations, organizational policies and procedures, medical staff bylaws and accreditation/compliance requirements.
  • May serve as interim leadership
  • Partner with clinical stakeholders to document the inclusion of evidence-based practice guidelines and experiential knowledge. Formulate and revise algorithms, policies, procedures, pathways, and protocols. Collaborate with teams to provide expertise to guide use of technology, processes, effective project planning, and product delivery

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree In nursing, business, healthcare administration or related field
  • 7 years of relevant experience in healthcare

Preferred

  • Master's Degree In nursing or related field
  • Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Manager or Supervision experience highly encouraged
  • 5 years of relevant experience in Clinical nursing or clinical care
  • 5 years of relevant experience in Program Development
  • 7 years of relevant experience working within an organization of size and complexity comparable to Corewell Health
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Upon Hire. Highly Preferred
