Summary:

The part-time Athletic Trainer will work closely with coaches, student-athletes, departmental staff, as well as key school personnel (such as NP, PA). The Athletic Trainer works directly under our school physicians working orders and reports to the Head Athletic Trainer/Interim Head Athletic Trainer. Under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer/Interim Head Athletic Trainer, the Athletic Trainer will provide immediate health care and first aid, orthopedic assessment, and rehabilitation services to The Lawrenceville School physically active.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will be expected to adhere to the training room policies and department policies, procedures and regulations and to laws, bylaws, rules, policies, and regulations
  • Create and implement prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs for sport related injuries
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Travel with and provide medical support to varsity sport teams
  • Daily documentation of athletic injuries, illnesses and treatments. Maintain medical records
  • Assist with the supervision of athletic training student aides
  • Management and proper fitting of sport related equipment
  • Other duties as assigned by physician or athletic trainers
  • Perform other duties as requested
Requirements
  • Strong organization and communication skills (verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy act
  • CPR For The Professional or Equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university. BOC certified by the position start date. Valid license in the state of NJ.
