SUMMARY

The Grant Analyst (Entry to Mid-Level) is responsible for supporting the grants team in researching, writing, and analyzing grants. This role includes assisting with grant proposal development, conducting research on potential funding opportunities, and providing analytical support to ensure the effectiveness and compliance of grant-funded programs. The Grant Analyst will report directly to the Senior Grants and Development Manager and will play a key role in data analysis, grant tracking, and reporting. This position is ideal for someone with a keen interest in grant management and an ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Grant Research & Opportunity Identification:
o Conduct research to identify potential grant funding opportunities from federal, state, local, and private sources.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of funding trends, regulations, and grantmaking priorities to provide recommendations for new funding opportunities.
o Analyze the eligibility and requirements of funding sources to determine suitability for organizational goals and initiatives.
* Grant Writing & Proposal Development:
o Assist in the preparation and writing of grant proposals and applications, including drafting narratives, budgets, and supporting documents.
o Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant data, outcomes, and information needed for grant proposals.
o Ensure proposals meet all funder-specific requirements, deadlines, and guidelines.
* Grant Analytics & Reporting:
o Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to grant performance and outcomes.
o Prepare regular progress reports and assist in the development of comprehensive final reports to funders.
o Track and document the status of all active grants, including deadlines, spending, and outcomes.
o Support the Senior Grants and Development Manager and Project Manager in evaluating the effectiveness of grant-funded programs through data analysis and reporting.
* Grant Compliance & Documentation:
o Assist in ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditions, including budget adherence, reporting deadlines, and funder requirements.
o Help maintain accurate records and files for each grant, ensuring that documentation is available for audits and compliance checks.
o Support the preparation of financial and programmatic reports to funders, ensuring that all reports are accurate and submitted on time.
* Internal Collaboration & Communication:
o Communicate with internal departments (e.g., program managers, finance) to gather necessary information for grant reporting and proposal writing.
o Provide regular updates to the Senior Grants and Development Manager and Program Manger regarding grant progress, challenges, and successes.
o Assist with organizing and coordinating meetings related to grant activities, ensuring effective communication across teams.
* Database & Systems Management:
o Assist in maintaining the grant management system and databases, ensuring that grant information is accurately entered and up-to-date.
o Track grant expenditures and ensure they align with budgets and funding restrictions.
* Training & Capacity Building:
o Stay current on best practices in grant writing, research, and analysis to continually improve the effectiveness of the grant process.
o Assist with internal training and capacity-building efforts related to grants management and compliance.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

* Education: Bachelor's degree in public administration, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Experience: 1-3 years of experience in grant writing, research, or data analysis (internships and entry-level positions welcome).
* Skills:
o Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present findings clearly.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
o Knowledge of grant research tools and platforms.
o Familiarity with grant writing processes, compliance regulations, and funding guidelines.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and familiarity with grant management software (e.g., Enfor, Salesforce) is a plus.
o Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and deadlines.
o Strong organizational and time-management skills.
