PURPOSE AND SCOPE

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for designing, developing and delivering impactful leadership and employee training programs that align with organizational goals. This role combines facilitation expertise with instructional design skills to create dynamic, learner-centric experiences that build leadership capacity across all levels of the organization. This role will also focus on employee skill development to enable growth within their existing and future roles. As a facilitator, this role partners with key stakeholders to assess development needs and deliver programs that foster growth, engagement, and performance improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

Program Design and Development

* Develop, design and make regular updates to leadership development and employee development curricula, in-person and virtual workshops, and materials using instructional design principles and adult learning theories.

* Create engaging content, e-learning modules, facilitator guides, participant materials, and evaluation tools.

* Leverage technology to enhance learning experiences, such as learning management systems (LMS), interactive tools and virtual training platforms.

* Ensure the design brings the Rite-Hite culture, Employee Value Proposition and 10-year strategy to life illustrating company values and key focus areas.

Facilitation and Delivery

* Facilitate in-person and virtual leadership development programs, workshops, and team-building sessions (e.g. Social Style, Clifton Strengths, High Performing Teams workshops).

* Facilitate in-person and virtual employee development programs, workshops focus on the teaming skills (e.g., self-talk / growth mindset, communication / listening, building trust, clear agreements, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, problem solving, feedback, change management, time management, meeting management (the focus is not on technical or functional skills).

* Employ interactive techniques, case studies, stories, role-plays, and discussions to drive engagement and retention - customize for the audience.

* Assess when a Train the Trainer approach would be appropriate with HRBP team members to enable their facilitation of sessions for leadership teams, or employee groups they support.

* Adapt delivery methods to meet the needs of diverse audiences and learning styles.

Needs Assessment and Evaluation

* Conduct training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and prioritize development initiatives.

* Utilize Employee Engagement Survey and other lifecycle survey data to identify development needs.

* Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.

* Recommend improvements based on evaluation results and emerging trends.

* When technical skill needs are identified, coordinate with current training program leaders to assess how needs will be addressed. When gaps are identified, identify those to be addressed in the future-state build-out of Rite-Hite University.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

* As appropriate, partner with HR Business Partners or key stakeholder leaders to co-facilitate workshops while providing train-the-trainer guidance prior to sessions.

* Partner with HR business partners, business unit and functional leaders, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

* Provide coaching and guidance to leaders to reinforce learning and application on the job.

* Stay informed of industry best practices and incorporate them into development programs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in instructional design, facilitation, or leadership development.

* Proven experience designing and delivering leadership programs for diverse organizational levels.

* Certification in facilitation, instructional design, or leadership assessments (e.g., Social Style) is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

* Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles.

* Proficiency in facilitating leadership and professional development programs both in-person and virtually.

* Expertise in using e-learning tools, virtual platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams), and LMS software (Workday LMS is a plus).

* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

* Strong analytical skills to assess needs, measure program effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

* Knowledge of leadership competencies, emotional intelligence, team dynamics, and change management frameworks (e.g., PROSCI, ADKAR).

* Ability to travel to production facilities and Arbon districts approximately 30% of the year
