We have several positions available for Days(7a-7:30p) and Nights(7p-7:30a). Could be FT (3/12s), PT(2/12s) or PRN(min. 6 shifts in 6 weeks). Please indicate your preference while applying.

SUMMARY

The Nurse Care Partner is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patients within the hospital setting. These are typically patients requiring suicide precautions, patients who need supervision to prevent them from falling or otherwise harming themselves. This role involves observing and reporting any changes in the patient's condition to the nurse accountable for the patient's care under the direction of a RN. The Nursing Care Partner will communicate with patients, family members, and all members of the healthcare team to relay appropriate information, contributing to patient care and creating a supportive and healing environment.

The Nurse Care Partner's primary focus will be to promote a positive patient experience by partnering with the nurse, physician, healthcare team, and other healthcare providers to provide excellence in patient experience and assist with daily living activities and comfort measures. The Nursing Care Partner (NCP) assists other healthcare providers with safe, age-appropriate, and culturally aware care by performing clerical functions such as retrieving data, maintaining unit supplies, and transporting supplies. Performing essential patient care functions, i.e., ADLs, ambulation, and vital signs. The Care Partner must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

* High School Diploma or GED required. 2 Years of college coursework preferred.

* Two (2) or more years related including clinical experience in acute care setting, long-term care facility, or other verifiable direct clinical patient care experience required, OR enrolled/completed nursing program from an accredited school.

* Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required.

* Nursing assistant certified or Home Health aide preferred.
