Duties/Responsibilities

* Design and implement DSP algorithms.
* Knowledge of wireless communication theory and systems.

* Experience with Software Defined Radios (SDR)

* Manage complex engineering projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Develop and maintain effective internal/external relationships.
* Use standard laboratory instrumentation for validation and troubleshooting.
* Drive solutions to complex problems with limited direction - contribute to requirements development, propose ways forward, and adapt appropriately to changes in requirements.
* Perform analysis and modeling of complex radio frequency systems
* Contribute to customer presentations.
* Able to provide insight and suggest design modifications based on analysis outcomes, and to apply analysis techniques across a range of technical disciplines.
* Identify program/system-level technical risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies.
* Expertise in using DSP and SDR software and hardware tools.
* Actively mentor less experienced engineers and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback
* Ability to lead a team of engineers
* Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities

* Very experienced with Ettus USRPs, UHD, GNURadio, RFNoC

* Very experienced with hands-on test/measurement to validate the performance of SDRs or general transceivers

* Knowledge of DSP algorithms design and implementation
* Experience with digital communication systems, PHY layer topics, channel coding algorithms and modulation theory
* Proficient with MATLAB and/or Python and/or C++
* Excellent mathematical skills.
* Strong problem solving skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability and willing to work in highly collaborative team environment.
* Excellent management and organizational skills: proven ability to meet deadlines, task prioritization and attention to details.

Education
Requires bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Masters degree preferred.

Experience
Requires 5-7 years experience in Radio Frequency or Communications Engineering or related.
