POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary duty of the Interior Manager is to ensure that all jobs meet the Firms quality standards, are delivered as scheduled and that a budgeted and material profit is achieved on each project. This includes the daily supervision of all personnel under the direct supervision of this position. The Interior Manager will provide sales support to ensure that jobs are accurately estimated. This position is responsible for all aspects of the KA-ARK Interior shops including Upholstery, Trim, Cabinet and Finish.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. Generate detailed schedules and budgets for each Interior project.
  2. Support the Sales department with budgetary and pricing information.
  3. Assist in the generation and maintenance of standard interior specifications and processes.
  4. Coordinates interior activities to be worked in conjunction with paint activities.
  5. Organize and maintain the Interior Shop in the most efficient, organized and professional manner at all times.
  6. Routinely provide input to the General Manager regarding items that should be maintained in inventory to support the efficiency of the operation.
  7. Provide training for Interior Shop personnel in all aspects of aircraft interior modifications to ensure that work is being properly performed to meet the Firms quality standards at a profit.
  8. Provide the Stockroom personnel with assistance in the continual development of interior vendors as well as monitor parts and materials ordered to meet aircraft delivery schedules.
  9. Responsible for locating, recruiting and staffing quality and skilled craftsmen to increase the depth and talent of the workforce.
  10. Responsible for conducting performance evaluations in a timely and efficient manner.
  11. Observe all work in progress to minimize errors and maximize efficiency.
  12. Provide accurate information as required by the Inspections Procedure Manual.
  13. Enforce and follow all safety procedures and policies as established by the Firm and required by OSHA.
  14. Duties may be delegated to an assistant; however, such delegation does not relieve the Interior Manager of overall responsibility of these duties.
  15. Perform any other activities as directed by the General Manager including business development activities using industry contacts and experience.

Qualifications
LANGUAGE ABILITY:

This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations and the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. This position must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.



MATH ABILITY:

This position requires the ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra, fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.



REASONING ABILITY:

This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. This position must interpret a variety of instructions furnished written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.



COMPUTER SKILLS:

Software:

Information Management System, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Internet software, MS Project Management, E-mail.



CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

This position requires a current driver's license.



WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level is usually moderate and this position is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit and talk or hear, stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move in excess of 25 pounds. This position requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.



SAFETY EQUIPMENT USED:

The safety equipment in the Interior Shops include ear plugs, safety glasses, respirators, dusks masks and back belts for loads in excess of 25 pounds.
