This pivotal role, you will ensure that payroll and accounting functions are completed in a timely and accurate manner, while maintaining compliance with established policies, laws, and regulations. As a Payroll Coordinator, your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will guarantee that all payroll processes are completed efficiently. You will also play an important role in responding to payroll-related inquiries, ensuring all employee data is accurate, and tracking missing timesheets, which will directly impact the financial integrity of the organization.

Essential Job Functions:
* Oversee and manage all payroll functions, including processing bi-weekly payroll, managing Timekeeper, UKG, and other payroll systems
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with filing and retention policies for payroll records
* Prepare End of Month reports and ensure their accuracy
* Collect and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other necessary data for payroll preparation
* Ensure full compliance with legal requirements and company policies concerning payroll and employee compensation
* Reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and make necessary adjustments
* Process payroll through the designated payroll system, adjusting as needed for discrepancies
* Prepare and review various payroll reports and audits on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and tax withholdings in a professional and timely manner
* Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues
* Support audits and compliance-related activities by providing required payroll documentation and information
* Identify opportunities for streamlining payroll processes and improving efficiency
* Stay current with training and industry trends on payroll regulations
* Perform other related duties as assigned

Hotel Specific:



  • Work in multiple outlets across the property



Physical Demands:



  • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull 10 lbs
  • Standing and moving about in the guest services and restaurant/bar areas throughout the shift
  • Primarily standing for majority of shift


Qualifications:

Education:



  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.



Experience:



  • Hotel experience preferred
  • 1-year of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of accounting operations such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, server service fees, etc.
  • Basic mathematical skills to prepare financial reporting
  • Full understanding and comfort working on a computer with MS Suite-Outlook, Word, Excel
  • UKG or Kronos system preferred
  • Previous experience with hotel PMS systems a plus. Examples: Maestro, OnQ
