A Brief Overview

The Sr. PMO Manager is a leader who functions as a regional representative for the Project Management Organization and works with Regional Managers, Sales, and Operations to build strong working relationships which lead to successful project and program execution. The Sr. PMO manager is responsible for the financial health of their region in particular, accurate financial forecasting, and team utilization.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of financial & cost control aspects (P&L) and ability to provide accurate forecasting
  • Responsible for personnel management and development
  • Develops and maintains a positive and motivated team
  • Recruitment, interviewing, & forecasting staffing requirements
  • Effectively manages team utilization. Work across regions to ensure overall utilization efficiency
  • Drives escalated issues through to resolution and ensures proactive risk mitigation
  • Continued focus on Methodologies & Deployment Process improvements
  • Ensures rigor and discipline around PMO manager best practices
  • Participates in PMO related initiatives as needed
  • Communicates, supports, and ensures adoption of PMO and corporate initiatives
  • Manages and measures goals, standards, and KPI's to ensure teams are meeting all business excellence measurements
  • Maintains appropriate cost center assignment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field required
  • A minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in a related field
  • 10+ years project management experience
  • 5+ years PMO management experience
  • Strong leadership capability able to develop talent and capabilities, identifies and cultivates essential skills and attributes to maximize individual contribution and engagement
  • Able to build collaborative relationships across functions based on trust and respect
  • Promote the inclusion of diverse knowledge, skills, and experiences to achieve results
  • Excellent understanding of financial processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think innovatively and implement change
  • Able to forecast future trends and manage change
  • Ability to think innovatively and have strong issue resolution skills
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred
  • Work is accomplished without considerable direction. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria in obtaining results. Exerts significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment. Takes calculated risks with consultation from the expert.
