Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions in Easley, SC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader to assist in the organization and performance of the Manufacturing Engineering Team. This position will ensure the production of exceptional quality products that meet our customer's needs while leading a team of manufacturing engineering professionals.

The Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader will report to the Engineering Manager and operate daily out of the Easley, SC location. Domestic relocation for this role is available. However, support for work authorization cannot be provided.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.




  • Ensure production departments are provided with processes focusing on safety, production of excellent quality products at lowest possible cost, with a high first pass yield, meet customer demands and keep scrap levels at or below budget.
  • Develop and support CAPEX projects, develop Factory Roadmaps and create Tactical Implementation Plans (TIP) for improvements in the facility.
  • Identify, evaluate and lead the implementation of new manufacturing technologies that create more effective and efficient manufacturing processes. This includes robotics, autonomous vehicles, and Industry 4.0 tools.
  • Coordinate the daily operation of the manufacturing engineering team, including support for off shifts and weekend coverage.
  • Delegate work assignments and evaluate performance of each team member.
  • Champion, support, and ensure activities associated with production are meeting specified targets with priority focus being on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Maintain a positive work environment with team building tools and employee development with a focus on skills training for every team member.
  • Facilitate the implementation of new processes and equipment purchases for new product launches and continuous improvement projects.
  • Provide support to internal functions where necessary, such as Product Engineering and Finance.
  • Manage all relevant documentation, such as routings, MES instructions, SOP's, and tools used for Lean Manufacturing
  • Attend Change Management meetings and facilitate approved changes where applicable.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.




  • Must have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management or degree in a related field of study
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment is required
  • Possess at least 5 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering in a Manufacturing environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of finance, capital appropriation, and budgeting practices
  • Experience leading capital projects
  • Knowledge of and practical experience with automation (robotics, PLC's, LabView, torque tools) and MES systems is a must
  • Hydraulics experience is preferred
  • Proven ability to work in a team atmosphere and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Be self-motivated and eager to accept new responsibilities
