The Metropolitan Water District's Water System Operations Group has one opening for Instrumentation & Control Technician I located at the Jensen Treatment Facility (Granada Hills, CA). This recruitment will be used to build an Eligibility List. This list will be valid for 6 months from the date a candidate accepts the position. As an Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Technician I, you will develop proficiency and assist journey-level technicians with a wide variety of I&C tasks. These tasks include the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment such as pressure transducers, flowmeters, position transmitters, level sensors, motor-operated valves, power supplies, workstation displays, signal indicators, wireless data links, local-area network distribution, wide-area network data terminals, life safety equipment, gaseous ambient leak detection systems, voice-over-IP telephone systems, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, programmable logic controllers, public address systems, audio-visual presentation systems, safety monitoring and alarm annunciation equipment, security surveillance systems, and energy management devices.
