Position Overview

We are seeking a Salesforce Technical Project Manager to lead and drive the implementation of Salesforce solutions for a Navy IT Transformation initiative. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of Salesforce capabilities, ensuring alignment with Navy HR IT modernization objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Salesforce, coupled with proven project management experience in Agile environments.

Responsibilities



  • Lead Salesforce implementation and integration efforts within a large-scale Navy HR IT transformation initiative.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with Navy stakeholders, government teams, and technical teams to define project goals, scope, and success metrics.
  • Oversee system architecture, development, and deployment of Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with Navy enterprise architecture standards.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Track and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring successful delivery against milestones and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and Navy cybersecurity policies, including Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
  • Lead stakeholder communications, providing regular project updates and managing expectations.
  • Support change management efforts, ensuring user adoption and training strategies are effectively implemented.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce project management within government, defense, or enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, including declarative tools, customization, and integration methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Navy HR IT systems, DoD cybersecurity requirements, and cloud migration strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage technical teams and collaborate with developers, architects, and business analysts.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect.
  • PMP, CSM, or SAFe certifications.
  • Experience with ICAM, data governance, or enterprise architecture in a DoD environment.
  • Prior experience with ATO processes and security compliance in federal projects.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: Remote with occasional travel to client sites

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $175,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
