Role Description

We're looking for an MES Technician to join our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) team in support of our production environment for all electrode and assembly processes. As an MES Technician you will collaborate with operators, engineers, program managers and software teams to support and maintain the MES system and its related manufacturing software integrations.

This is a second shift role based out of our Weirton, WV factory.

What you'll do:
  • Provide first tier support to production lines for day-to-day MES operations, fixes, troubleshooting software and hardware, and supporting related services & systems

  • Troubleshoot MES issues by reviewing log files, event reports, and talking with users

  • Act as liaison between factory floor and MES development team, evangelizing on behalf of end users, capturing their feedback, and identifying opportunities for improvement

  • Train system users on new features and updates

  • Perform basic network and device troubleshooting

  • Perform maintenance of hardware, tablets, HMIs and software to maximize uptime

  • Participate in on-call rotation to respond to daily production issues

  • Participate in training end users on effective use of MES platform

What you'll bring:
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of relaying technical information to non-technical stakeholders

  • Must be able to work independently with excellent time management, multi-tasking and the ability to assess and prioritize competing demands

  • Associates Degree in related field Computer Science, Information Systems, IT or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or logistics environment working with software systems and end-users to support production operations is highly desirable

  • Experience collaborating with a variety of stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Operations, and Software)

  • Experience with office software applications (Excel, Word, etc.), knowledge of basic SQL queries and basic database concepts

  • Experience writing technical documentation

  • Experience with Jira is a plus

  • Desire to learn and grow professionally in a fast-paced, startup environment
