What we are looking for:

As the right-hand-person of the Portfolio Manager (Fixed-Income strategies), the Portfolio Analyst will assist in the management and trading of portfolios in the fixed-income space. In addition, they will assist with market analysis, communications (both internal and external) and collaborate with internal business partners to ensure client needs are being met.

Your responsibilities:

  • Work closely with traders and portfolio managers in the day-to-day management of accounts.
  • Track portfolio cash.
  • Work with portfolio managers to ensure portfolios are being managed according to guidelines and firm's strategies.
  • Assist team in allocating, booking and funding trades.
  • Communicate with internal and external relationships on portfolio additions and withdrawals and tracking of these flows.
  • Provide support for client queries and reports.
  • Update systems and files used to monitor portfolios and strategies.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline (Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, etc)
  • Three (3) or more years of relevant portfolio analysis experience (fixed income would be considered an asset)
  • Demonstrable passion for investing through self-guided reading, following the markets, staying up to date on market developments and the macroeconomy.
  • Leverages technology to assist in drafting clear, concise and effective communications across different platforms (emails, memos, reports)
  • Effective researcher. High attention to detail - this is a high-stakes environment
  • Self-starter, resourceful, and enjoys taking initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively and accurately under time pressure
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills. We value a friendly, respectful workplace
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of bond-related concepts and terminology.
  • Fast learner with strong work ethic
  • Although not required, knowledge of Charles River, Perform, Advent and Bloomberg a plus.

Additional Information:

  • Fiera Capital adheres to a hybrid working environment with 3 days in-office per week
  • The salary range for this position is 100,000 to 125,000 USD base compensation in addition to a 20% target bonus as well as a generous benefits package
