About the opportunity
SWCA is currently seeking applications for a Natural Resources Team Lead, supporting our operations throughout Wyoming and Montana. The Natural Resources Team Lead is responsible for providing leadership within the Wyoming/Montana Natural Resources Program by managing staff, projects, and clients. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of developing new business, managing complex projects, meeting financial goals, and mentoring others to do the same. The Natural Resources Team Lead will report to the Senior Office Director out of SWCA's Sheridan, Wyoming office. The Sheridan office offers a collaborative and supportive work environment, and specializes in natural, cultural, and paleo resource management, environmental planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will have a depth of experience and familiarity with the business environment of Wyoming and Montana. This is a full-time, regular (with benefits), exempt position based out of Sheridan, WY. Remote employees are encouraged to apply. If remote, occasional travel to the local Sheridan office would be expected. Application Deadline -- All application materials are due by March 19, 2025 What you will accomplish The Natural Resources Team Lead will manage current opportunities while participating in the development of a forward-looking plan for their team. This position will require highly developed critical thinking skills to recognize and solve problems proactively and independently, as well as identify and mitigate risks and impediments through persistence, creative thinking, and a focus on client satisfaction. This will include working with the Senior Office Director, Project Managers, other Team Leads, and professional staff in the Sheridan office and surrounding states to further employee development and mentoring, provide technical leadership, and develop strategic team goals by contributing to the following:

An employee in this Sheridan-based position can expect a salary of $81,120/year-$106,000/year. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
