Learning Content Developer Intern
Summary
The Learning Content Developer Intern will gain hands-on experience in instructional design and content development. This internship provides an opportunity to assist in developing training solutions using the ISD methodology. The intern will support various analyses, including Needs Analysis, Job/Task Analysis, and Front-End Analysis, to inform course design and development. The position involves assisting in the design and development of instructional materials for various formats, including instructor-led, interactive video training (IVT), computer-based training (CBT), and web-based training (WBT). The intern will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), incorporate instructional strategies, define media elements, and learn about compliance with technical and accessibility standards such as Section 508.
Requirements
Current Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, or a related field.
Interest in learning about the Instructional Systems Design (ISD) model, including course design, development, planning, and implementation.
Familiarity with eLearning development tools such as Storyline, Rise, Captivate, or VYOND is a plus.
Willingness to learn about Learning Management Systems (LMS), SCORM, and Section 508 compliance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn and take direction.
Preferred Qualifications
Some experience with multimedia development tools such as Photoshop is a plus.
Exposure to AI software and prompt engineering is a plus.
Interest in government contracts and understanding scope concerns.
Strong organizational skills and a proactive learning mindset.
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist in creating instructional design plans for various training formats, including paper, CBT, WBT, and video.
Support the development of concepts, themes, and instructional strategies for projects.
Help create reports, plans, and storyboards within the required timeframes.
Engage with customer SMEs under supervision.
Assist in identifying and communicating scope issues to the Task Lead or Project Manager.
Collaborate with graphic designers and programmers to develop training solutions.
Gain exposure to different aspects of the ISD process.

Works closely with individual Project Managers, technical leads, designers, programmers, graphic artists, and other project team members.
Receives guidance from Senior Instructional Designers and/or Project Managers regarding both design and development processes.
Coordinates with graphic artists and programmers as needed to accomplish assigned tasks.
