Job purpose

Responsible for improving and strengthening processes. Apply technical knowledge to help team members apply creative solutions to project Specifications. Improve overall Customer Experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide follow up training for new hires or an internal transfer (AutoCAD, 2020, modeling, product training).
  • Allocate tasks and communicate project deadlines to the team.
  • Assist where needed (specials, checking and specifying).
  • Create and implement processes and procedures to streamline onboarding and for internal reference.
  • Answer customer's questions and resolve any problems or issues that arise.
  • Use technical knowledge to help team members develop creative solutions for design driven projects.
  • Responsible for guiding a group of employees as they complete a project and encourage team collaboration.
  • Keep management updated on team performance.
  • Works closely with all departments within and including specification tracking system as a back when the Manager is unavailable.
  • Point person for outsourced projects, assigning, reviewing, checking and evaluating invoices for billed hours.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and six to ten years of related experience and/or training. Specialized knowledge.
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, CAP, 20/20, Visual impressions, CET Designer (a plus).
  • Understanding of corporate, healthcare and education furniture specifications.
  • Must work well in a team environment with strong communication skills.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and various Design software solutions.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
