Conducts Neurodiagnostic testing which includes EEG, EMG, nerve conductions, evoked potential, and 24-hour ambulatory EEG. Assists with EKG exams. Prepares patients and conducts various neurodiagnostic examinations and collects information pertinent to the interpretations of these tests. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY High school graduate or G.E.D equivalent with courses in physical sciences. Additional courses in anatomy physiology and neurology are preferred. The capacity to deal with severely ill pediatric patients. CPR certified. EXPERIENCE Accredited certification in Neurodiagnostic Technician Training or a minimum of one (1) year experience is preferred. For those without certification or experience a one-year maximum apprenticeship in Neurodiagnostic is required. Must be able to work independently at the completion of the apprenticeship. |
