Cox Ideabar, a Cox Enterprises Center of Excellence (COE), develops Cox brands, drives value, and accelerates growth for Cox businesses and a few select external partners through world-class brand, creative, marketing and media services.

This person is a strategic marketer and relationship builder who enjoys identifying, evaluating, and articulating appropriate partnership opportunities across a highly matrixed organization. The role includes formulating scopes of engagement that address our partner's business challenges and set up our team for successful delivery, and it includes managing new engagements through to completion or transitioning them to a colleague for ongoing stewardship.

This person develops strong relationships with senior partners across the Cox enterprise to adeptly determine if, when, and how to apply our COE's capabilities to solve complex partner challenges. This person works in collaboration with the broader partnership (accounts) team to optimize partner satisfaction, retention, and growth where appropriate; as well as the adjacent creative and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, evaluating, and articulating opportunities for our COE to drive impact and growth across the enterprise.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary colleagues and/or vendors to develop integrated strategic recommendations for scopes of engagement that address partner needs.
  • Build extraordinary relationships with an enterprise-wide matrix of partners that deepen the impact and effectiveness of the COE by serving as a trusted marketing advisor, demonstrating industry knowledge and Cox Ideabar expertise, listening well, and exhibiting sound judgment and business acumen to address business challenges.
  • Monitor partner satisfaction through quantitative and qualitative feedback.
  • Collaborate with partnership team colleagues to identify opportunities to advance partner satisfaction, retention, and growth across our full network of relationships.
  • Negotiate statements of work and fee arrangements for new engagements, lead RFP responses and develop strategic recommendations with SMEs.
  • Owns storytelling regarding the COE's capabilities including shaping the narrative, building and maintaining supportive assets, and leading presentations
  • Ensure seamless transitions of new engagements to the broader partnerships team
  • Evaluate new vendor/agency partners to enhance media service offerings.
  • Supports partner conflict resolution and maintain open communication with the broader partnership teams and functional leaders.
  • Maintain up-to-date financial forecast and billing for new engagements.
  • Gather and communicate partner insights to broader COE team and work on strategies to enhance their experience.
  • Provides talent evaluation and recommendations to senior leadership based on partner feedback.
  • Develop strategies for growth and actively pursue new opportunities.
  • Represent the COE in high-level executive meetings, partner and industry events.
  • Extends perspective and knowledge of real-time business results to inform new business approaches and needed supporting materials (i.e. case studies, pitch decks etc.)
  • Ensure best practices and conformance with agency policies and procedures.


Job Duties:

  • 40% Partnership Engagements and Relationship Management: Identifying opportunities, new partnership engagements, responding to RFP'S, building strong relationships with senior partners, and enhancing partner satisfaction and retention.
  • 35% Project Leadership and Execution: Leading teams to onboard new opportunities, activate on strategic recommendations, evaluate new vendor partnerships, managing projects from start to finish or ensuring a smooth transition and collaboration across departments and vendors.
  • 25% Expert Brand and Marketing Advisory Services: Serving as a trusted advisor, shaping narratives, and leading presentations to showcase the COE's capabilities. This includes maintaining partnership enablement materials (capabilities, case studies etc.), and representing the COE in high-level meetings and industry events.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years experience in advertising agencies or in-house creative/media centers of excellence. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years experience in a related field; or 12 years experience in the areas underscored above.
  • Strategic creative, brand, and media experience with digital marketing expertise.
  • Proficiency in storytelling to enhance partner trust and satisfaction.
  • Expertise in providing strategic guidance and advice to partners.
  • Experience with offline and online integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Forward-thinking and innovative approach to strategic concepts and cross-disciplinary work.
  • Strong problem-solving, judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to navigate fast paced and ever shifting landscapes and continue to define and refine overall approach.
  • Excellent people and influence management skills.
  • Proven track record of managing complex partner relationships and working across interdisciplinary teams.
  • Self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills.
  • Clear, persuasive presentation style.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and strategic problem-solving abilities.


USD 108,800.00 - 181,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $108,800.00 - $181,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
