Masters Level Intern or Practicum Student

Description

Under clinical supervision and within agency policy and clinical standards, masters level students will provide direct counseling and therapy services producing optimal outcome to a designated population. Services will be provided in one or more settings using evidence based treatment. Services include but are not limited to: assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual, couple, child, family therapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention. Students will also learn and practice maintaining accurate and timely documentation to meet agency and program standards.

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
1. Clinical Intake

2. Clinical Assessment and Diagnosing

3. Comprehensive Care Planning (Treatment Planning) and Case Management

4. Providing Therapeutic Interventions

5. Weekly supervision to discuss legal and ethical decision making

6. Clinical Documentation

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
* Must be enrolled in a clinical masters program and eligible for licensure supervision (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LADC, etc) upon graduation.

EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge and experience in individual, group and family therapy. Knowledge and experience in conducting mental health assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning. Must demonstrate a clinical family systems orientation and ability to work with diverse populations.

PERFORMANCE COMPETENCIES:

* Co-Occurring Capable
* Recovery Oriented
* Culturally Competent

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
Must possess a valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.

OTHER INFORMATION
SAFETY SENSITIVE JOB CLASSIFICATION:
This job is classified as a "safety-sensitive" position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act. Due to the "safety-sensitive" classification, an employee in this position would be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not excuse you from the testing process or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana per the Family &
Children's Services Drug Free Workplace Policy, including possible revocation of a job offer or dismissal from employment.
