Requisition ID:75150 Description Skyworks Cedar Rapids design center has leading R&D and product development capabilities and is seeking engineering talent with expertise in RF/Microwave, RFIC design, and PA product development to meet rapidly increasing customer demand. When you join our team in Cedar Rapids, you'll join a uniquely collaborative, multi-discipline engineering community who support each other working across our domestic design centers creating cutting edge products for global markets. You'll be paired with an experienced mentor to help support you as an integral part of a team responsible for designing multi-chip modules. You will be part of a multi-discipline team developing PA, RF switches, LNA, front-end modules for the high volume and fast paced cellular handset market. Learn more about the fantastic Cedar Rapids lifestyle when you talk with our team! #LI-DB1 Job Responsibilities * Work with a multidisciplinary team of PA, RF switch, LNA, Filter, and multi-chip module (MCM) designers to support fully integrated front-end module designs * Coordinate with test engineering (TE), systems engineering (SE), product engineering (PE), and design verification test (DVT) teams to characterize front-end modules (FEM) from initial design through high-volume production * Create test files for component and die level verification using Skyworks proprietary software * Work with test engineering (TE) teams to create and debug test stations for various issues, such as noise floor limitations, new spec requirements, and improved test efficiency * Understand register maps and be able to translate them to functional logic states Required Experience and Skills Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Good understanding of RF systems and familiarity with wireless standards including 3GPP cellular 2/3/4/5G/LTE, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth * Good understanding of acoustic filters such as SAW and BAW filters * Solid understanding of RF concepts such as impedance matching, impedance transformation, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth, and stability * Experience with automated data analysis with C/C#/C++/Matlab/Python * Good communication skills both verbal and written and logical reasoning skills, capable of breaking down complex problems, setting priorities, reporting progress, and executing schedule * Experience with lab instruments used in collecting RF measurements including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Load-Pull Tuners Desired Experience and Skills * Solid understanding of device and process technologies * Experience in system architecture, circuit topology, and MCM floorplan * Experience in FEM product development and customer interaction The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$62,600 -$114,800 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
