Overview

Support Air National Guard (ANG) Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Test Center (AATC) to conduct research, test, and assess aging weapon systems and equipment to improve the combat capabilities through Reliability, Maintainability, Quality, Supportability, and Interoperability (RMQSI) engineering and analysis of modernized and advanced ANG, AFRC, and United States Air Force (USAF) aerospace weapons systems. The Primary technical areas of analysis shall include operational suitability Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E); OT&E project management (maintenance equipment); systems engineering for Air Reserve Component (ARC) modernization and sustainment; munitions maintenance, logistics, and security analysis; and systems interoperability assessments.



Responsibilities

    Perform research and analysis on modification designs and drawings to adequately address and effectively integrate the identified repair or sustainment capability deficiencies.
  • Perform research and analysis on ARC modernization and sustainment issues. As operational issues or capability gaps are identified for ARC platforms, employ a disciplined and structured systems engineering processes to accomplish detailed research, plan and execute appropriate laboratory, ground and flight tests, generate appropriate recommendations accompanied by companion engineering studies and analyses, and brief results.
  • Perform research activities that focus on coordinating, synchronizing, and validating operational test requirements to verify sustainment and modernization candidates support and meet operational requirements.
  • Develop recommendations and technical inputs to assist system program offices and ARC Higher Head Quarters (HHQ) personnel in making informed decisions for the AATC, ANG, and AFRC.
  • Develop and analyze technical reports and policy recommendations to support Affordability and Life Cycle Cost Analysis, System Acquisition Planning and Management, and Business Case Analysis on all ARC combat and mobility platforms.
  • Directly support technical and cost/benefit analysis on divestment of ARC weapons systems, provide recommendations for future acquisition and capability requirements, and develop comprehensive plans to move aircraft assets across components, when required.


Qualifications

  • Master's degree and 12+ years of related work experience


Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $163,200.00/Yr. - USD $272,500.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
