Position Summary
The Information Technology Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) Department Leadership job family has overall responsibility for supporting PG&E's business vision by improving service quality, increasing capabilities through the development\deployment of infrastructure and core business productivity application functionality, implementing new technology, reducing costs, increasing productivity, and facilitating organizational and business effectiveness through enabling technologies.
This job family is responsible for providing leadership for those involved in the development, design, testing, implementation, maintenance, support, and operations of PG&E's Network infrastructure.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to analysis, maintenance, and operations of Network infrastructure systems. Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted. Selects, develops, and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of each function.
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.

This role reports into the Senior Director, Enterprise Technology and Asset Management
Job Responsibilities
- Manages the mitigation of risk. Analyzes, prioritizes and consolidates this risk and assesses its potential impact to the organization/business as well as on each project individually and within the Core Network Value Stream.
- Accountable for the successful implementation of complex, larger scale Network systems on time, in scope and within budget.
- Establishes individual and organizational objectives that are aligned with company goals.
- Provides strategy, planning and leadership for Network Infrastructure and Operations initiatives required for the business to achieve its objectives.
- Proactively provides expert knowledge of Network industry trends and technologies as it relates to specific opportunities where technology can enhance value to the PG&E business unit and/or addresses a specific business need.
- Works with IT leadership and business partners to prioritize Network projects
- Supports the annual technology planning process on behalf of I&O.
- Leads the effort in creative approaches to problem solving and quality deliverables supporting business needs
- Provides leadership and motivation to team members
- Ensures that the project/program outcome reflects the goals of the organization/business.
- Provides and manage operational support and maintenance for systems and applications; may provide 24x7 support
- Ensures compliance to Standards/regulations and governance processes
- Ensures timely and effective communication regarding the mapping of initiatives to business goals to business partners, including presenting information to IT and business leaders outlining portfolio specifics.
- Develops relationship across IT, with the goal of growing meaningful relationships that will facilitate collaborations and communications.
- Drives and contributes to the continuous improvement of Infrastructure components, monitoring and processes
- Develops and manage to a set of meaningful metrics to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the team on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

Compensation
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill be placed towards the middle of the range ($251,000), the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors.
A reasonable salary range in the Bay Area is:
Bay Area Minimum: $186,000
Bay Area Maximum: $316,000
Or
California (outside of the Bay Area):
Minimum: $177,000
Maximum: $300,000
Background Qualifications
Minimum
- B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related field.
- (8) years of IT project/program management or infrastructure/operations experience including at least three (3) years' experience managing large projects/programs in a timely, cost-effective and solutions-oriented manner.
Desired
- M.S./M.B.A. degree or equivalent work experience in enterprise networks, business administration, engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus
- Experience in the Utility industry/business in technology tactical planning, implementation, and operations.
- Proficient in conceptualizing creative solutions, as well as documenting them and presenting/selling them to senior management
- Infrastructure Discipline Platform Specific Certifications. For example, Cisco, VMWare, Cisco, etc.
