Job Details

Under the direction of a radiologist or physician, the Ultrasound Specialist utilizes diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform general, procedural and advances examinations in order to produce ultrasound images of the body for diagnostic purposes and interventional procedures. Exercises good judgment in ascertaining necessary measurements for the area being examined and performs all computer processing for all ultrasound examinations; and delivers patient care and education before, during and after diagnostic imaging procedures. May act as a mentor for less senior ultrasound technologists. Rotates to 2 or more advanced imaging assignments

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

Graduate of an approved RDMS or ARRT program or current validated Registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R). ARRT (R), (CT) Preferred.

AND

Experience:

2 years minimum preferred
