Project Manager

Anakim Consulting has an immediate need for a Project Manager to support a federal government contract environment. The Project Manager will ensure smooth execution of technical and non-technical projects areas including service coordination, project tracking, and troubleshooting. Qualified candidates will have a strong technical background and ability to provide hands-on support, as needed, to support successful operations.

Job responsibilities include:



  • Manage projects and performances at the contractor level
  • Provide overall direction to all project level activities and personnel
  • Solve complex technical, administrative, and managerial problems
  • Interact with customers and technical personnel
  • Prepare reports, deliver presentations, and participate in meetings
  • Work collaboratively with project staff to outline work plans and assign duties and scope of authority
  • Direct the completion of tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and managing projects from inception to completion
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery
  • Track project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring all deliverables are met
  • Create MS Planner and project actions
  • Track deadlines and responses to action items supporting enterprise services, including federal regulatory actions
  • Provide weekly status on updates and completions, including new actions and required dates of completion
  • Maintain and update project documentation, schedules, and status reports
  • Provide support during project meetings by taking notes, distributing agendas, and tracking action items
  • Support project coordination, integration, tracking, and reporting
  • Provide meeting support
  • Research and maintain internal organizational process documentation
  • Interface with client leadership, personnel and senior executive personnel across related organizational areas
  • Support clients in providing and improving the customer experience
  • Assist with researching, technical writing, and updating policies, processes, procedures, technical work instructions, project documentation, working group charters and board charters, outreach materials, training materials, and technical advisories
  • Support internal and external technical workshops, working group sessions, meetings, conferences, presentations, special events and activities
  • Develop and/or acquire presentation and outreach materials, as needed
  • Support client workshops and activities focused on service improvement



Position Requirements

Basic requirements include:



  • U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship)
  • Current Public Trust security access or ability to obtain Public Trust
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology)

    • Additional years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree


  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination, service coordination, or technical support
  • Strong technical knowledge supporting Unix/Linux/Red Hat environment
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana,Trello, and Jira
  • Proficiency working with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Local to Hampton/Langley area and availability to support on-site schedule


Preferred experience:



  • PMP or related Project Management certification
  • Experience with customer service and technical support roles
  • Experience working with Atlassian software and Microsoft 365 toolset including MS Teams and PowerBI
  • Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL concepts and frameworks
