Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Diagnostic Radiology

Job Description

The Radiology APP will provide procedural and clinical care services to pediatric and adult patients at the University of Minnesota Medical Center (UMMC) in Minneapolis, including both East and West bank campus hospitals and the M Health Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC).

This APP will join a team of diagnostic radiologists (pediatric radiology, neuroradiology, and body radiology) to perform fluoroscopy and ultrasound guided diagnostic imaging and procedures as well as inpatient and outpatient consultation and support of general radiology practice work tasks.

Duties will include working closely with radiologists to perform diagnostic imaging such as esophagrams, upper GI studies, urethrograms, cystograms, swallow studies as well as procedures such as feeding tube placements, thyroid and lymph node biopsies and lumbar punctures. You will also be asked to review inpatient and outpatient consults, pertinent imaging, as well as supporting other general radiology practice work tasks. Role is 80% procedural and 20% clinical.

In This Role, You Will:

• 1.0 FTE to support M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center East and West Bank and the Clinics and Surgery Center (CSC).

• This will include working primarily Monday-Friday, daytime hours

• Work independently performing diagnostic imaging and procedures using x-ray, fluoroscopy and ultrasound

• Manage inpatient and outpatient consultation and reviewing pertinent imaging

• Work to improve the quality of care, collaboration, and efficiency of a very busy diagnostic radiology practice

• Provide support to other general radiology practice work tasks

We're Looking for an NP or PA Who Is:

• NP candidates must be certified through ANCC or AANP. PA candidates must be certified through the NCCPA and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.

• Minnesota state license, DEA, BLS, ACLS

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Exceptional collaboration abilities

• Understands and places importance on patient care/service

• Detail oriented and self-motivated

The full-time salary range is $125,759 - $155,660 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
