DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Fiscal Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining bookkeeping records and reviewing, recording, and processing all invoices submitted by providers for financial accuracy and ability of payment by reviewing back up documentation. Additional duties involve working with providers to resolve any invoice or purchase order issues, as well as encoding, posting, and scanning invoices for payment into the accounting software. Diligent organizational skills are utilized to process accounts payable transmittals, maintain the petty cash fund, and monitor purchase order and contract balances to invoices. We are looking for someone who values team work and is able to collaborate with various other professionals such as Accountants, Fiscal Officers, Administrators, and Carelon regarding different processes to ensure all assigned fiscal duties exude accuracy. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week, dependent upon office needs and following successful completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Beaver Falls.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
- An associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by 6 credits in accounting; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, and Washington counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
