Building Assistant - Job Overview

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Building Assistant for our Muscatine office. The role involves maintaining the interior and exterior of company properties.

What You Will Be Doing:



  • Care for company property, including watering plants, cleaning, and clearing walkways
  • Set up conference and meeting areas
  • Deliver large packages and supplies
  • Order general supplies
  • Assist with office moves, including relocation of equipment, supplies, and furnishings
  • Perform building maintenance, repairs, and construction as needed
  • Oversee HVAC, lighting, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Maintain building security systems and address related issues
  • Additional tasks as assigned


Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work independently and in a team


Work Conditions:



  • Occasional weekend work and overtime will be required.
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, kneeling, and climbing ladders. Must be able to lift 10-25 pounds frequently and up to 50-100 pounds occasionally.


This position requires occasional judgment and initiative, with guidance available for unusual cases.
