POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Shared Services Manager to join our finance team. This position will play an integral role in continuing to transform our finance organization and technology landscape. The role will help further our implementation of a shared services model for our accounts payable teams and processes. The incumbent will work cross functionally with colleagues in operations, procurement, finance, and treasury departments to drive standardization and efficiencies with a focus on improving processes, technology, and developing talent.

We are looking for a strong leader who has an extensive background in accounts payable operations. This leader also needs to be excited to lead through change and has experience supporting and implementing high visible standard process design and technology initiatives while maintaining timelines and customer service levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and management of Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) dedicated personnel across multiple businesses and locations with an emphasis on coaching, development, continuous learning, and achieving results
  • Develop and translate strategy into operational goals, objectives, and process roadmaps
  • Direct a team with troubleshooting, problem solving, and collaboration to create effective and efficient procure-to-pay processes that can be scaled up
  • Ensure accounts payable procedures are in compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Support Month-end close through accrual preparation and reconciliations
  • Analyze workflow, processes, and operational measures to identify root causes, quantify, and justify recommended improvements across the procure-to-pay process, including the use of new digital solutions
  • Ensure effective communication with our auditors, providing reports and reconciliations as necessary, and ensure timely and accurate audits are performed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Required
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred
    • Minimum of 7 years of experience, including experience with ERP payables systems, continuous improvement, and managing others (experience with managing remote workers preferred)
    • Extensive background in accounts payable operations in mid-sized to large organizations and end to end procure-to-pay processes
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels
    • Knowledge and background in process improvement, business operations, project management, change management, and automation/technology systems implementations
    • Ability to travel up to 20% for collaboration, problem solving, or participation in process-improvement and company-wide events may be required.
  • Preferred
    • Experience working within a Shared Services Organization
    • Experience working with a public company preferred, including US GAAP accounting and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements

Travel Requirements

  • Travel anticipated approximately 10-20%

Pay Range

  • $90,000 - $125,000
