Job Description:

Apprio is seeking an experienced Technology Support Specialist. The Technology Support Specialist reports directly to the Training Support Package Team Lead and provides classroom set up and maintenance of technology, supporting both instructors and students

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site setup, support, and troubleshooting of equipment, for instructor-led classroom training, conducted at the CDP
  • Properly secure, store, and maintain equipment, including restoration of factory settings, uploading of new documents/software as requested, and sanitization of equipment
  • Responsible for the inventory, documentation, and possible repair of all equipment
  • Instruct end users (both instructors and students) on hardware and software applications
  • Assist users with technical problems; respond to special requests and last-minute changes
  • Communicate regularly with Technical Support Team Lead, PMO staff and Corporate IT staff, regarding status of support efforts and new requirements related to training support technology
  • Configure, test and integrate new hardware/software and coordinate the purchasing of parts and/or equipment
  • Assist with set up and operation for special events and functions both on and off site
  • Create update and maintain virtual machine images for student issued equipment
  • Develop and/or assist in the development of CDP software technologies
  • Works effectively with a team and is respectful of colleagues
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures; meets established deadlines
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continued professional growth and development
  • Accept constructive criticism and is receptive to changes in the work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational Requirement: Associate's Degree or better in a technology or related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred OR
Experience: 3 to 4 years of technology/computer based experience

Required Knowledge:

  • Demonstrate experience with maintaining equipment including; but not limited to, electronic tablets, laptops, and printers
  • Experience securely maintaining software, on non-networked equipment
  • Knowledge of MS Windows 10 & 11 and Office 2016 and higher
  • Possess problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Apple software
  • Solid understanding of basic networking
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience creating, using and managing virtual machines
  • Ability to work in both Mac and Windows environments
  • Self-motivated, critical thinker, thrives in a small team environment
  • Basic familiarity with web development programming languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP)
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, as well as Python, and C++ programming languages is a bonus
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends and flexible hours
  • Knowledge of CDP training environment and/or curriculum preferred
