Description

You will be part of a multi-discipline team developing PA, RF switches, LNA, front-end modules for the high volume and fast paced cellular handset market. You will have opportunities to participate in all phases of product development, including product definition, architecture, system budget, transistor-level circuit design, MCM design, layout/layout supervision, lab debug and production support. Job Responsibilities

* Primary job responsibilities may include automated or semi-automated testing of parts, data post-processing, plotting, statistical analysis, documentation.

* The primary task is to properly execute DVT work requests using test programs provided by the design or test engineer and provide initial screening of measurement results.

* Schedule and scrutinize DVT work requests for completeness and identify areas requiring additional clarification, resources, or test program development for new or unusual requirements.

* Must maintain a strong customer focus and proactively communicate priority conflicts and potential or actual schedule slips while maintaining the high level of throughput necessary to support Skywork's dynamic and diverse product mix.

* Become proficient in test setup debug and troubleshooting to ensure we successfully meet our primary responsibility. Maintain an engineering notebook to document proper test setups, terminology, troubleshooting techniques, issues encountered, etc.

* May also participate in new test program development or debug using C/C++, and occasional test fixture design, construction and documentation.

* Serves as the key interfaces to Product Engineering (PE), Characterization Engineering (CE), Applications Engineering (AE), Systems Engineering (SE) and Test Engineering (TE)

* Responsible for the transition from DVT testing to characterization to the final test

Required Experience and Skills

  • BSEE or related field and 8 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Product Realization Process
  • Knowledge of test parameters or test equipment
  • Device or product characterization knowledge

Desired Experience and Skills

  • MSEE or related field and 6 years of experience
  • Relevant experience in testing of power amplifiers and front-end modules
  • Familiarity with 3GPP specifications relating to mobile handset 2G, 3G, and 4G standards
  • Ability to understand and make minor modifications to software written in C++ or C sharp
  • Solid understanding of RF concepts such as impedance matching, impedance transformation, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth, and stability
  • Solid understanding of statistical process control analysis methods and terminology
  • Strong lab skills in RF debug and product characterization
  • A self-starter and team player with a strong desire to learn on the job
  • Strong desire and commitment to take the product from concept to volume production

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$112,500 -$215,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
