We are seeking a skilled Information Technology Specialist with 2+ years of experience to join our dedicated team on-site in Decatur, IL. This full-time role involves supporting and maintaining IT and HealthIT systems, providing technical assistance to staff, and ensuring the seamless operation of systems critical to the delivery of patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in IT systems, healthcare specific software, and experience troubleshooting technical issues. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow and contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Overview:

As a key member of our IT department, you will provide technical support for healthcare software, hardware, and network systems, troubleshoot issues, and assist in the implementation of new technologies. Your role will be vital in supporting clinical and administrative teams in navigating the complex healthcare IT landscape to ensure uninterrupted service and enhance the quality of care delivered to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide hands-on support for software, hardware, and network-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve problems, escalating issues as needed to senior staff or vendors.
  • Data Management: Collect and enter data into databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of valuable company information.
  • Training: Train staff on the appropriate use of hardware, software, and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ensure that all staff are proficient in using these tools for their daily tasks.
  • System Management & Maintenance: Maintain and support EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and practice management software to ensure they function properly and meet the needs of clinical and administrative staff.
  • System Implementation & Integration: Assist with the implementation of new software or system upgrades, ensuring smooth integration with existing IT infrastructure.
  • Data Security & Compliance: Ensure IT systems comply with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2) and implement best practices for protecting sensitive patient data.
  • Network & Infrastructure Support: Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, ensuring reliable connectivity for all staff and systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of IT processes, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations to support efficient problem resolution and system upgrades.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors for IT services, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues or service-related problems.

Skills:

  • Ability to adopt a systematic approach towards identifying and then solving a problem or issue at hand
  • Knowledge of multiple computer operating systems
  • Ability to promptly answer & support related Phone calls, Chat & Emails
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Anti-Virus Systems, Imaging and Backup System
  • Familiarity with relational databases and Electronic Health Records
  • Experience with configuration, repair and upgrading of laptops, desktops, tablets, cell phones
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
  • Effectively works within a defined workflow for all service requests
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Effective written and oral communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in IT support, particularly in a healthcare or behavioral healthcare setting.
  • 3+ years' clinical experience with working knowledge of computer operating systems & computer software may be considered.
  • Certifications: M365 Endpoint Administrator, CompTIA A+, Network+, or Certified Healthcare Technology Specialist (CHTS) are a plus.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance are required.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $75,000 per year ($21.64 to $36.00 per hour), dependent on education and experience
