JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The College of Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Process Improvement Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and a passion for developing tools that streamline administrative processes. This role will involve analyzing current workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement process improvement plans to optimize operations
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure the successful execution of new processes and tools
  • Monitor the effects of process improvements and make adjustments as necessary
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on new processes and tools
  • Document all process improvements and maintain records for future reference
  • Stay updated on industry best practices for process improvements and project management

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in process improvement, project management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in using project management and process improvement tools
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with data analysis and statistical methods
  • Ability to facilitate change management and encourage a culture of continuous improvement
