Visit http://group.springernature.com/ and follow @SpringerNature / @SpringerNatureGroup About The Role The HR Advisor, Payroll Specialist is responsible for assisting the Head of Payroll with the processing and maintenance of five biweekly, multi-state payrolls, encompassing a total of approximately 800 employees, using the Dayforce HRIS system. The role will ensure the integrity of the payroll process by maintaining and auditing pertinent payroll transactional data; fully managing the biweekly timesheet approval process; generating and delivering various reports; validating employee entitlements; documenting and troubleshooting system-related issues; and carrying out routine and ad-hoc administrative tasks. This role will be in our NYP offices on a hybrid working model. Responsibilities:
Input data entries using the Dayforce payroll system Payroll processing and Team back-up during absence Format GL Files for Upload into the SAP accounting system after each payroll Provide 401(k) funding information to Finance on a biweekly basis; Update biweekly Payroll Summary spreadsheet; Maintain Schedule of Remittances for annual 401k Audit Track special paid time offs - Ex. NY Prenatal sick time hours and input leave data into the Dayforce Time and Attendance system Generate, Format, and Analyze Time and Attendance reports biweekly to spot timesheet errors and email managers accordingly Follow-up with managers on any missed approvals File payroll records in accordance with the company's and legal retention policies on a biweekly basis Full Ownership for creating and formulating Workers Compensation Report by state for the preliminary rate assessment and the final Workers Comp Audit. Additionally, coordinating with HRIS in doing necessary updates to employee level mis-coding when necessary
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
BA/BS with a minimum of 3 years of professional HR / Payroll experience Knowledge of integrated HRIS and Payroll Systems - Ceridian Dayforce preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and use of formulas, Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, etc. Previous experience processing payroll and timesheets Some knowledge of Federal, State and Local payroll regulations Ability to work autonomously and adapt while managing competing priorities to produce quality deliverables and meet tight deadlines Ability to work with and interact well with various departments, levels of managers, and employees while providing a high level of customer service Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to draft concise and professional company-wide communications Exceptional attention to detail and data integrity Adheres to strict confidentiality requirements and protection of sensitive HR and Payroll data Ability to work well with the HR/Payroll Team and must be a team player PAYO affiliation and FPC designation preferred

US Annualized Base Salary Range: $75,000 - 85,000. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level and equity. The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.
