THE JOB:

As a Heavy-Duty Kitchen Cleaner at MGM Springfield, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly by upholding the highest standards of cleanliness. Your responsibilities will include thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and assigned areas, contributing to a safe and hygienic working environment for all culinary staff. Join our dynamic team and help us deliver exceptional dining experiences through your commitment to cleanliness and organization.

THE STARTING RATE: $18.30 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • The task involves a thorough cleaning of ceilings, walls, and items that necessitate extended ladder use, as well as deep cleaning various cooking equipment like char broilers and fryers. Additionally, it includes gathering pots and pans for washing in a three-compartment sink or pot machine, and managing the flow of dishes, glassware, and flatware by breaking them down for cleaning, spraying, loading, unloading, and then returning them to their designated storage spots.
  • To ensure a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, systematically wash all baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables, and cutting boards. Follow up by sweeping and mopping all floors and washing floor mats thoroughly. Additionally, clean kitchen equipment such as dish machines, ice machines, pot machines, prep tables, hot boxes, and refrigerators, adhering to proper hygiene practices.
  • Work on large electronic or gas operated equipment such as ride on floor scrubber, power washers, etc.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Prior kitchen stewarding/dishwasher experience is a bonus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Able to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
  • Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written forms
