Deburr Technician II

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Deburr technicians are responsible for finishing parts which include breaking edges, sanding, and graining. Position requires the operation of orbital sanders, dye grinders, belt sanders, and saws in accordance with the specifications on engineered drawings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Advanced knowledge of work instructions and tooling to verify appropriate work process and quality requirements before starting job.
* Assist lower-level technicians with proper use of tools and work processes.
* Responsible for deburring and finish operations.
* Utilizing hand and small power tools, safely remove burrs and create edge brakes.
* Inspect part dimensions to ensure parts adhere to blueprint specifications and identify any quality issues.
* Advanced utilization of measuring equipment such as gauges, scales, calipers, etc.
* Populate job travelers with appropriate information for the work performed.
* Ability to gain knowledge of blueprint interpretation.
* Maintain hours spent on all work orders and input into manufacturing software data base.
* Other duties as assigned by management.
* Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing sanding tasks and while working with certain adhesives and chemicals.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position carries no supervisory requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

* Beginner to intermediate computer skills to complete timecards and data entry into software databases
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating procedures.
* Must be able to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and other staff.
* Must be trustworthy to handle confidential information routinely.
* Ability to follow a process.
* Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista goals.
* Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and ability to problem solve.
* Must be able to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision
* Ability to multi-task.
* Must have a desire and ability to learn all aspects of the manufacturing trade.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 2-3 years in machine shop manufacturing environment.

* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
* Must pass a drug and background screening.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
