Overview

The Systems Integration Developer- Travel Technology is responsible for programming and maintaining mid office technology and agent systems, scripts and applications available in the Systems Integration technology platform for Altour Corporate.

This role has accountability and responsibility for the daily review of open projects relative to the automated quality control systems, ad hoc programming projects, GDS scripting, documentation of processes and business analysis efforts.

The objective of this role is to support our corporate travel division with creative solutions that increase productivity related to the agent workflow process, end to end automation, client services and operational quality assurance.

This position reports to the Manager/Director of Automation with a high level of communication between departments.

Responsibilities

System Management

    Develop effective and efficient automation to meet customer requirements
  • Unit testing of automation routines
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Assist in analysis, UAT support, and postproduction support as needed
  • Provide recommendations for optimization of existing automation features, operational processes and capabilities where applicable to promote standardization and efficiency.
  • Recommend new solutions and processes needed to meet team, client, reporting & operational goals.

Communication

  • Communicate regularly and effectively on the status of all current projects and manage stakeholder's expectations appropriately.
  • Respond proactively and in a timely manner, in adherence to department service levels to service requests, project updates and agreed upon requests for information.
  • Conduct and/or participate in meetings to provide an overview of systems and integration processes and technology as needed including the preparation of documentation as required.


Qualifications

Industry Experience

  • Experience working directly with Travel quality controls systems / mid office
  • Concur Compleat, iQCX, AQUA, etc
  • Substantial skills and proven working knowledge of at least Sabre, Travelport Plus/Galileo, or Amadeus with an understanding of industry standards

Technical Skills

  • Experience and understanding of version control concepts and practical application of systems
  • Knowledge of XML standards and web services management
  • Basic knowledge of Java
  • Working level knowledge of VB.net development
  • Knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience

Soft Skills

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills required to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Must be able to work independently and complete deliverables on time and with the highest level of quality
  • Strong critical thinking skills
