We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Project Manager to lead and oversee environmental compliance projects across multiple regulatory areas, including air, water, waste, and hazardous waste laws. This role involves providing expert guidance to clients, managing projects from initiation to completion, and mentoring junior staff to enhance their technical and compliance skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance to clients on federal, state, and local environmental regulations, ensuring compliance in areas such as air permitting, wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous waste management.
  • Lead and manage environmental compliance projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor and train junior staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring they effectively apply regulatory standards.
  • Develop and oversee project deliverables, keeping clients informed with regular updates and actionable compliance strategies.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that prioritizes high-quality work, continuous learning, and regulatory excellence.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or environmental science
  • 8+ years of environmental compliance experience; consulting experience a plus
  • P.E or CHMM certification preferred
  • Proficient in drafting compliance reports, technical memos, and regulatory documentation
  • Proven ability to manage teams and oversee complex environmental compliance projects
  • Experience with Connecticut state and federal environmental regulations
  • Technical expertise related to:

    • Air permitting calculations & permitting
    • Wastewater permitting
    • Industrial stormwater plan preparation
    • Hazardous waste management support
    • Stormwater sampling & management
