The Role

As a Client Account Manager, you will play a critical role in managing key healthcare client relationships, ensuring seamless service delivery, and driving business growth. You will work closely with senior leadership, consulting teams, and business development professionals to coordinate client engagements, track project progress, and support strategic initiatives.

This role offers the opportunity to operate at both strategic and operational levels, with a focus on Medicaid, managed care, and healthcare consulting. You will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, ensuring their needs are met while identifying new opportunities for collaboration.

You will report to a senior leader in the healthcare practice and will work cross-functionally with business development, consulting, and operations teams.

Work You'll Do

  • Act as the primary liaison between AArete and healthcare clients, ensuring strong communication and collaboration
  • Oversee account operations, tracking project status, deliverables, and action items
  • Lead and support client meetings, ensuring timely follow-ups on key decisions and next steps
  • Maintain pursuit tracking and business development activities, keeping HubSpot updated
  • Support the development of BD materials, proposals, and client presentations
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities within existing healthcare accounts
  • Manage administrative tasks, such as monthly project reports and procurement processes
  • Stay informed on healthcare industry trends to provide strategic insights to clients and internal teams
  • Operate at both strategic and operational levels, demonstrating executive presence and leadership
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in account management, client service, or consulting
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience coordinating meetings, tracking deliverables, and managing client communications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & PowerPoint critical)
  • Willingness to engage in direct client interaction, including travel to client locations
  • Based in Chicago, IL, and flexible to work from our Chicago office as needed
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare consulting, Medicaid, or managed care
  • Familiarity with business development, proposals, and stakeholder management
  • Experience working in a consulting environment to minimize ramp-up time
  • Knowledge of HubSpot or other CRM tools for tracking pursuits and client interactions

The estimated base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $165,000. In addition to this base salary, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. This range is a part of a competitive, total compensation package together with our Employee Stock Ownership Plan, majority employer-paid benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Please note that this range is a guideline and individual total compensation may vary due to numerous factors including but not limited to experience level, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
