Our 324 Facility Radiological Control team is seeking a dynamic Health Physicist who has the ability to support oversight and implementation of the CPCCo radiation protection program. A day in the life of a Health Physicist involves:

* Providing radiological expertise in order to maintain compliance with facility specific procedures, Radiological Control Manual, and 10CFR835 regulatory requirements.
* Provide technical support to 324 Radiological Protection Organization, including ALARA Design Review, Radiological Work Planning, Clearance Survey Plans, and Technical Evaluations.
* Provide technical support outside of the Radiation Protection Organization to effectively support building modification, D&D activities, shipping requirements, final disposition of the 300-296 waste site.
* Responsible for ensuring assigned policies, procedures, and technical documents effectively implement conduct of operations principles, safety management program components, and radiological control requirements.
* Provide radiological control expertise and coordination for major project activities in support of accomplishing critical milestones.
* Providing radiological work planning support to project work scope.
* Perform work in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner.


Basic Qualifications


* Senior Level Grade 20: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 10 or more years of relevant experience.

* Principal Level Grade 21: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 12 or more years of relevant experience

The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications


* American Board of Health Physics certification or member of the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists.
* Proficient in utilization of MicroShield software.
* Familiar with MCNP, Radcalc, and ProUCL software.
* Experience in ALARA Design Review, Radiological Work Planning, Clearance Survey Plans, Technical Evaluation process and Radiological Protection Program development.


Compensation & Benefits


In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):

* Senior Level Grade 20: $129,063 - $162,688

* Principal Level Grade 21: $142,038 - $179,113

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
