Description
The Town of Erie Parks & Recreation team is looking for the life of the party! The Party Host will manage a multitude of rental types at the Erie Community Center and park shelters. Our Party Hosts will need to be personable, friendly, responsible and great with visitors of all ages. A great Party Host will be value organization, safety, and fun! All staff are expected to adhere to the Town's mission, vision and values of TRUE. ANTICIPATED WORK SCHEDULE:
Part-time to include mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends as needed; not to exceed 130 hours/month on average. Schedule may vary depending on program specific needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A combination of education and experience may be considered. CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Knowledge of: To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate basic knowledge of event equipment use and maintenance, facilities, operations, supplies, and anticipates event operational needs. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and policies, including safety regulations also required. Skills in: Providing outstanding customer service to a diverse guest population; positive and professional working relationships with all Town staff and the community, may include instruction, communication of rules and regulations and enforcing policies; time management; presenting verbal and written information; the use of standard office equipment, computers, and various software programs; problem solving; following and enforcing all rules, regulations and policies; recognizing safety hazards and sanitation issues and notify supervisors; safely operate a variety of recreation related equipment; remaining composed in emergency situations and working effectively under stressful circumstances; performing CPR, First Aid, and AED to level of certification. Environmental Factors: Work is performed in a standard indoor/outdoor event environment. Work may involve competing demands, performing multiple tasks, working to deadlines. Physical Factors: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and occasionally lift storage boxes and other event supplies and equipment of 30lbs or more.
