We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team.

Our Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing monthly and annual financial statements and providing meaningful analysis on said statements. You will assist in the budgeting and forecasting process and maintain revenue calculations and tracking for our client's portfolio of properties.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end close activities from accruals recording and reporting, publishing budget to actual spend reports.
  • Prepare monthly financial package support schedules, balance sheet and cash account
  • Track daily cash activity, record cash receipts, receivables, and other journals as appropriate
  • Maintain client funding/AR log, and help troubleshoot with client accounts payable on invoice payment statuses
  • Maintain working knowledge of Master Services Agreement and any relevant amendments or appendices
  • Support bank statements reconciliations and follow-up on all outstanding checks and reconciling items monthly
  • Perform or review reconciliation and true-up of funding vs. actual expenditures.
  • Prepare and review properly documented journal entries
  • Prepare and track accruals and accrual entries
  • Assist with budgets and forecasts as needed
  • Assist with the calculation of fees (i.e. Management and Incentive) as needed, and record fee invoice in corporate books, Peoplesoft
  • Identify and implement process re-engineering opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with both internal audit and client accounting services internal review standards.
  • Special projects and other functions as required by manager or client.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience, some real estate experience preferred
  • Attention to details, is driven to learn new processes and skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications required; experience with real estate accounting software a plus JDEdwards E1 knowledge a plus.
  • Can clearly communicate verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethic
  • Ability to work within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with operations
  • Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload to meet client needs
  • Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
  • Understanding of and commitment to client services
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment

Estimated total compensation for this position:

140,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
