Senior Lead Engineer, Testing Job Overview: The Senior Lead Engineer, Testing will be responsible to lead manual and automated testing efforts at a module level. This role will be part of a team of testers who design/write complex test scenarios. Responsible for finding and reporting software defects, and ultimately will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly when implemented at client sites. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand & analyze requirements, coverage at module level.
- Design and write complex test scenarios. Prepare Test artifacts like Test Plans, Test Specifications, Test Reports and provide inputs for Test Strategy.
- Conduct Peer Review / Review of Test Cases written by other team members.
- Create and validate Test Data.
- Test / Execute Complex Test Cases / Scenarios / End to End Testing.
- Demonstrate domain Knowledge and interact with Clients.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
What You Will Bring:
- 5+ years' experience as a QA Tester.
- 4+ years' experience in the Life & Annuities domain.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance practices & testing methodologies
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
- Working knowledge of test management software.
- Attention to detail with an analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure.
- Suggest and implement relevant Process improvements.
- Ability to proactively identify risks and ensure timely escalations.
- Very good Debugging and excellent problem-solving skills,
- Experience performing defect triage, reviewing defects with multiple teams, and managing defects through their lifecycle
- Experience in developing Test Automation framework.
- Knowledge of API automations.
- Knowledge in Database concepts, SOAP/REST Web Services.
- SQL query experience preferred
- Good understanding of the testing process; can identify risks and ensures timely escalations.
- Good expertise of test data creation, test case management, test case recording, and reporting.
- Ability to translate and communicate customer needs to all parts of the organization.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, collaborative and detail oriented.
- Results-driven mentality with a bias for speed and action.
- Able to collaborate across the organization and with external clients and stakeholders.
- Acts as a role model in committing to quality and customer service.
