Ignite Digital Services is seeking a mid-level electrical engineer to support to assist our Government clients with system architecture and advanced electronics design, test, and evaluation for maritime sensors. This role is critical to ensuring the successful definition and maturity of a portable maritime hardware. This role will support the determination operational and mission requirements, the development of advanced electronics components for signal processing, power distribution, and analog control of maritime sensors.

Responsibilities:



  • Define system requirements for power generation, distribution, and management, including power electronics, converters, and power factor correction
  • Define system requirements for analog signal conditioning for maritime sensors, including amplifiers, advanced filtering techniques, and high-speed switching
  • Modeling and simulation of analog power and signal conditioning electronics
  • Define requirements and design multi-layer prototype circuit boards for microwave/mmWave applications
  • Develop and execute test plans for validating system performance and reliability, including designing automated test setups for unit, components, and system level tests
  • Strong analytical skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to electrical systems and components
  • Assist with defining system interfaces and APIs for enabling interactions across applications and sub-systems
  • Perform trade-off analysis on power, weight, and other attributes to determine sensor package requirements
  • Document system specific modularity and interoperability between systems platforms.


Qualifications:



  • Doctorate degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or Physics
  • Experience with prototype circuit board design, fabrication, and testing for analog power and signal conditioning
  • Experience with microcontrollers and programmable logic
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools. i.e. Jira, Confluence, MS Projects
  • Familiarity with software development pipelines include software development tools such as git, and Visual Studio
  • Strong skills in PCB design and layout and electronic circuit modeling and simulation in software tools such as Eagle, Altium, KiCAD, LTSpice, MATLAB Simulink
  • Strong skills in python, git repositories, MATLAB, and others software relevant to system development and automation


Salary: 90k+ to align with education and experience

Schedule: Hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite
