Description:

Within this position we are looking for a developer that has experience with DevSecOps tooling and practices. In the course of the position a focus on automation and writing code will be paramount. The ideal candidate would have experience in AWS, in-depth development skills, and experience working with java based applications.

Essential Functions & Duties:

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to automate complex release, security, and configuration processes.
  • Experience managing AWS resources and automating tasks using the AWS CLI.
  • Integrate DevSecOps tools via REST API's such as GitLab, SonarQube, Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Develop and maintain ansible playbooks to automate the deployment, configuration, and management of infrastructure.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD for efficient software delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards (STIGs) through security assessments and automation.
  • Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure and deployments.
  • Implement best practices for security, automation, and monitoring.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevSecOps.

Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates:

  • Proficiency in Programming languages: specifically Python, Bash, YAML
  • Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Kubernetes migration
  • Skilled in using GitLab Enterprise
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and other Linux distributions.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience with Java Spring Boot or JBoss applications.
  • Understanding of OWASP Scans, SAST/DAST, etc.
  • Testing tools such as Pytest, Locust.IO, Selenium, Cypress, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of security standards and best practices.
Citizenship or Work Authorization Required:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain secret clearance is required for this role
Required Education, Certification & Experience:
  • A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution fulfills the educational requirement.

In Lieu of education requirement listed, candidate must have the required certification or will obtain required certification within 6 months of the start date. Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs. As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $110,000 - $145,000.
